Each day we have the opportunity to be a hero to a child in need. We can all be “Everyday Heroes” when we work together as a community to keep our children safe. April is nationally recognized as Child Abuse Prevention Month and we are bringing the national observance into our community with our 8th Annual Spring Into Action 5K Run and Family Fun Run!
The goal of this event is to raise awareness on the sensitive subject matter of child abuse as well as raise funds to provide direct services to children and their families that are beginning their journey to healing from the abuse/trauma.
At Sally Kate Winters we are firm believers that education and action can lead to prevention. We invite you to Spring into Action with us on Saturday, April 1, 2017 in downtown West Point! The 5K begins at 8am and we welcome runners, walkers, and strollers. There are awards for top finishers in male and female age divisions. Our Fun Run begins at 9:00am and it is for children of all ages! Awards will be given to top finishers in the Fun Run. Registration is available through our website at www.sallykatewinters.org and through our Facebook Event Page @facebook.com/sallykatewinters. Individual 5K Registration is $25 for individuals with group discounts for teams of 5 available! Fun Run Registration is $15 for individuals with Family Rates available for teams of 4.
Together, we can make a united effort to prevent child abuse and neglect!
