CHATHAM-KENT YMCA FAMILY FUN RUN/WALK

Each spring most YMCAs in Canada celebrate “Healthy Kids Day” and this year that will be on Sunday, April 30th. YMCA “Healthy Kids Day” is a national day dedicated to improving the health and well-being of kids.

Now you know that the YMCA advocates for and supports the development of happy and healthy children year-round, but on this day we highlight and engage families around the issue with some special activities.

So, join us on Sunday, April 30th for the Chatham-Kent YMCA’s 3rd annual Family Fun Run/Walk to celebrate YMCA Canada's Healthy Kid Day. It's a great way to get Mom, Dad, kids and cousins off the couch to enjoy a healthy activity together!

We offer two distances, 5K and 3K, and several affordable price points to fit your family budget. The run/walk events start at 9:00 am just outside our membership centre at 101 Courthouse Lane. Then, stick around to cheer on the kids participating in our free 1K kids fun run which starts at 11:00 am.

Great news!

If you are planning to run/walk either the 5km event or the 3km event starting at 9:00am, the YMCA will be providing child minding for the ages 3 months to 6 years of age.

For YMCA members this is free.

For non-members there is a fee of $2.00 which will go into our Strong Kids Campaign.
