It’s time to lace up for some fast-paced fun for the APA’s Fast & the Furriest 5K run or 1 mile walk!
We’re upping the ante and taking this race to the casino, Hollywood Casino. The course is professionally timed and measured for you to enjoy with or without Fido.
Take a gamble on the 1 mile Pooch Poker Walk, which offers a more leisurely pace with the added fun of creating your best possible poker hand along the way. Both the 5K and 1M come complete with a race t-shirt and the best goody bag in town, so join in the action and get ready to break a sweat with your dog.
Proceeds from the APA’s Fast & the Furriest will benefit our mission of bringing people and pets together, advancing humane education and creating programs beneficial to the human/animal bond.

Pledges
Do more to help the animals at the APA by inviting your friends and family to pledge a donation for your efforts. All they need to do is click "Pledge Participant" in the upper left corner of this page and type in your name.
PLUS: A generous donor is MATCHING your pledges! Spread the word and raise DOUBLE for homeless pets.
GOAL: Our goal is to raise $7,500 in pledges. This will help get 45 animals ready for adoption. Think about those happy tails wagging and help us reach our goal!

Children age 5 and under can participate in the 5K and the 1M for free, unless a t-shirt is requested. Only register children 5 and under if they need a t-shirt.
Register by April 5th to guarantee your T-shirt size.

Race Route
Awards
Awards will be given to the first, second and third place male and female finishers in the following age divisions: under 20, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s & 70+.
Plus, awards will be presented to the overall first place male and female runners and first place male and female dogs in the 5K.
