Runaway Pumpkin Half Marathon and 8K is fun for everyone! Runners and walkers dressed in costume are encouraged. Rain or shine, Runaway Pumpkin Half Marathon is an event you don't want to miss!
The event is being held in Lebanon, Oregon at Cheadle Lake Park. The start and finish line will be located on Weirich Drive. The half marathon will follow the river along Berlin Rd heading toward Mallard Creek Golf Course to Waterloo, cross the bridge and return on River Rd. heading north to the north end of Cheadle Lake.
Half Marathon participants will receive a Tech Shirt, a reusable goodie bag filled with gifts and coupons, and a finisher's medal.
8K participants will receive a Tech Shirt and Runaway Pumpkin insulated lunch bag.

Cheadle Lake Park
Lebanon, Oregon From Highway 20 going toward Sweet Home (just past WalMart), turn left on Weirich Drive and follow signs into Cheadle Lake Park and parking.
Allow plenty time for parking before the race. Traffic does get backed up.
Be a Virtual Runner!
Can't make it to the event but want to help children by supporting ABC House? You can be a virtual runner for the Runaway Pumpkin Half Marathon! Simply click on the Virtual Runner option above. This will allow you to be a virtual runner and for a donation of just $55 or more, you will be recognized as a Runaway Pumpkin Half Marathon donor.
Local Virtual Runners will receive a shirt and goodie bag. You can pick them up at registration on October 20th or at ABC House the week after the race.
Long distance Virtual Runners will receive a shirt by mail.

Costume Contest
Costumes are encouraged at the Runaway Pumpkin Half Marathon! Here's how to participate (Splendid prizes await our winning costume participants!) Arrive in costume at the race site and head to the main stage for costume judging at 8am. Photos will be taken and awards will be distributed by 8:30 so you have plenty of time to warm up and take your places for the start of the race!
Create a Team, Raise Money for Kids!
Create a team, get pledges from friends and you can win a prize!
The team that raises the most money will receive the following:
Your team name engraved on the Runaway Pumpkin Half Mararthon Spirit Trophy presented on Oct 21st. A photo will be taken of your team at that time.
Your team photo will be posted on the front page of the Runaway Pumpkin Half Marathon for one year! You'll pretty much be famous.
Your team name will be on the back of the 2018 Runaway Pumpkin Half Marathon shirt at the level equal to the dollars raised. Just think, your team name could potentially be on 1000 shirts! This is making me want to form a team of my own.
How do you raise money? Simple! After you register, go to your Race Roster profile. Halfway down the page, you will find a section titled "Ask for Pledges". All the info you need is right there! Of course, should you need further assistance, I am always here for you! Just shoot me an email and I'll help you out! See, I'm friendly like that.
Now go create a team! Gather friends and family! Raise some money for kids!
