You will have absolutely nothing but a good time, a load of laughs and a sense of doing something good for those less fortunate than you. There will be no winners, no losers, no medals, no judgments and nothing will be timed. Go at your own speed, but "leave no man behind" on your team.

WHAT DO I WEAR? / WHEN DO I ARRIVE?
Leave your "designer" labels in the closet !! Wear anything you don't mind getting dirty and wet. Sneakers or footwear you can walk, run and climb in and don't mind throwing out when you're done.
TEAM COSTUMES ARE WELCOMED- THE CRAZIER THE BETTER!
NOT ADVISABLE TO WEAR SWEATPANTS BUT COVER YOUR LEGS- NO FLIP FLOPS
Bring a plastic garbage bag for muddy shoes/clothes and a towel and change of clothes if you want.
You will need to arrive at the registration/check-in table 30 MINUTES before your wave time.
**Please be sure to add-in enough time to walk from the parking areas to the registration table (apprx 10-15 min)
TEAM SIZE - Your team can be as big or small as you'd like. All are welcome!

WHAT NOT TO BRING?
Your dog, your cat, your snake, your ferret, your hamster, etc...Short Beach does not permit animals on-site (The only exception would be a licensed service dog)
Do not bring headphones, baby carriage,weapons or fireworks.
IS THERE A 'BAG CHECK' AREA?
NO -. LEAVE VALUABLES AT HOME OR IN YOUR CAR - .NO BAG CHECK AREA
Coolers are NOT allowed.
CAN I GIVE A REGISTRATION AS A GIFT?
YES! For the person who has everything...surprise your friends or family with a unique gift of registration to the The Sterling Down and Dirty 5K. Go back to "BuyThis As A Gift" tab under Registration.
CAN ANYONE PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT?
YES! Providing you are at least 8 years of age (AGES 8-11 ON THE KIDS COURSE ONLYwith parental consent) This event is a fun, family friendly community-wide event and beyond. It is not just for those who are fit, but it is totally for "The Average Joe" looking to have a great time. You will not be timed and the only person you will be competing against is yourself. You can go at your own pace. There's no need to rush. This is purely for fun, fun, fun !!
DIRECTIONS AND PARKING
Directions:
From I-95 South - Exit 32 - left off exit then left at light. Continue straight to end (St. James
Church in front of you) Right at light onto Main Street, continue approximately 1 mile, you will
see signs for "Event Parking"
From 1-95 North- Exit 30- right off exit, continue straight approximately 2 miles to Main Street,
you will see signs for "Event Parking"
PLEASE ALLOW 45 MIN-1 HOUR TO PARK, WALK TO CHECK IN AREA AND GET TO STARTING GATE!!
There will be ample and designated parking areas for participants and spectators. However, please try to car pool to eliminate excess cars taking spaces away from participants and spectators. There will be NO CHARGE to park and no charge for spectators to come cheer you on!
CAN I GET A REFUND IF I'M UNABLE TO ATTEND?
No, we will not be able to refund under any circumstances. This is a fund raising event to benefit the Food Pantry and Resource Connection Programs at Sterling House Community Center. Your fee will be considered a "donation" to the organization.
