St. Clair Hockey Trot

The St. Clair Hockey Trot is a 4km hockey themed run/walk that will be held on Saturday April 1, 2017, starting and finishing at the St. Clair College Sportsplex. This affordable, family-friendly event will begin at 10:00am.

Here's how the fun begins:

- Participants in the run/walk will show their support by wearing their best Detroit or Toronto gear; those who cheer on other teams are welcome as well!

- Detroit Red Wings fans will line up at one starting point facing Toronto Maple Leaf fans who are lined up at a seperate starting point.

- The closed loop around part of the college campus, will be divided in half with pylons.

- When the starting gun goes, both groups head towards each other (on different sides of the pylon divided road) for 3 laps equal to 4km total of good spirited chatter and bragging! All for fun and exercise to support some great causes and to continue the greatest rivalry in the Original Six!

The event will also feature door prizes including a pair of tickets to Saturday night's game Wings vs. Leafs at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit at 7pm, refreshments and other family activities.

Our Goal is to showcase the Sport & Recreation Management Program, our sportsplex and St. Clair College

The Legacy begins...through our proceeds, we will be donationg $5.00 from each entry back to every Minor Hockey Association based on the association preference selected by each individual participant and another amount to KidSport Windsor-Essex.

The Legacy grows...through our proceeds, we will help with the revitalization of the St. Clair College Athletic Hall of Fame (that has been inactive for the past 20 years) and the creation of a bursary for a deserving 1st or 2nd year student in the Sport and Recreation Management Program!

The Legacy continues... the bar has been set high by the first graduating class. Next years graduating class continues our work, calls it their own, and adds to the program's Legacy!
