The Miles for the Mounted Patrol 5K/10K & Fun Run is a fundraiser for the mounted unit of the McKinney Police Department. Join us for live music, snacks and a certified race course.
The McKinney Mounted Patrol Support (MMPS) is a nonprofit organization that promotes and supports the mounted unit of the McKinney Police Department.

About This Event:
This is a 5K/10K and Fun Run. The 5K/10K is on a Certified Course in McKinney using electronic timing and Disposable Chips for all participants.
Race Day Amenities
Come enjoy snacks, drinks, free hot dogs, live music, and meet the mounted patrol police officers and their horses. Additional amenities may be added.
Age Brackets
14 and Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
Prizes for 5K & 10K
Overall M & F in each race (5K and 10K) will receive $50 cash plus $100 Gift Certificate to III Forks Steakhouse
Winner in each age bracket (M & F) will receive a medal.
Overall winner in each race (5K and 10K) will receive a free pair of shoes from RunOn! McKinney
Race Day Pricing:
All events will increase $5 on Race Day!
Packet Pickup:
Packets can be picked up on Friday, June 9 at The McKinney Sweet Spot from 5 pm-7 pm, or at the race on June 10 from 7 am-7:30 am.

This race benefits the mounted unit of the McKinney Police Department. 100% of the proceeds will go to helping support and promote the mounted unit by purchasing needed items and sponsoring events that foster good relationships between police and community!

At the race from 7-7:30 am on Saturday, June 10.

Course Info
Course Map
The race begins at Cockrill Middle School, and continues on paved trails through Bonnie Wenk Park. The 5K turnaround is just after the course crosses under Virginia Parkway. The 10K course continues south of Al Ruschhaupt soccer complex and the turnaround point is just before the trail reaches Highway 75.
There will be water stops at the 5K turnaround and the 10K turnaround mark.
