ZERO'S HEROES - LOOK FOR THE LIGHT BLUE SHIRTS AND PURPLE SASHES!
ZERO's Heroes is an initiative aimed to unite the prostate cancer community, help our voices be heard, and take action to end prostate cancer. Our heroes are men who are diagnosed with prostate cancer and identify as survivors or patients. We want to recognize these men at the Run/Walk by honoring them with light blue race shirts and hats during our event.
Caregivers are heroes too! Caregivers wear many hats to take care of the men with prostate cancer in their lives. We respect what they do to support a man with prostate cancer and recognize caregivers for their important role during the event and provide them with a special sash to wear. Sashes can be picked up at registration.
Be sure to give a special shout out on race day to patients/survivors and their caregivers!
IN MEMORY AND IN HONOR OF BIBS
Don’t forget to pick up your in honor of or in memory of bibs! Stop by the registration table to pick them up and showcase who you are walking or running for!
KIDS SUPERHERO DASH FOR DAD
Little ones can help end prostate cancer, too! Kids nine and under are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero on race day to remind their heroes - Dad, Grandpa, and other male role models - to take charge of their health! The kids will participate in a short dash on race day and receive superhero capes.
POST RACE CELEBRATION
Stick around for the family-friendly post-race celebration. Participants will receive tech shirts, free food, and the opportunity to connect with others who are impacted by prostate cancer.
Love selfies as much as we do? Tag us in your race day photos (@zerocancer) or send them to photos@zerocancer.org.
It's not too late to raise funds! Don't forget to follow up and make sure everyone knows you're in the fight against prostate cancer. Log into your participant center to send a quick follow-up email or post on Facebook with your personal page URL.
Better yet, grab a friend or two and bring them to the event! Your friends and family can continue to register online until race morning (early registration closes at 6:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday, June 14 and prices will increase $5 after that time), or in person at packet pick-up or race day! Send them to http://www.zeroprostatecancerrun.org/elpaso to register online now.
Thank you for helping to save lives. We look forward to seeing you soon.
With Gratitude,
Veda Rodriguez & Belinda Sanchez
