Are you up for the challenge of Lethbridge’s oldest road race?
Established in 1974, the Kodiaks 10/4 Road Race is Lethbridge’s oldest on-going running event.
On April 8, challenge yourself against Alberta’s top runners in the ten-mile race, or focus on having fun in the family-friendly four-mile race. We've even added a one-mile kid's race that will let young runners race against Kodi, the Kodiaks mascot! No matter what race you choose, you’re guaranteed to have a blast and support Kodiaks athletics while you are at it.
All proceeds from the Ten Mile Road Race go to support the Lethbridge Kodiaks Cross Country team.

Race Day Information
Ten Mile Road Race
The 44th annual ten-mile road race will start at 9 a.m. sharp at Lethbridge College. Runners will head north along Scenic Drive, head down the Lynx Trail path into the river bottom, follow along the paved trail to Ft. Whoop–Up, then loop back around and return the same way they started until reaching the finish line at Lethbridge College.
Four Mile Road Race
The family friendly four-mile race will start at 9:20 a.m. sharp at Lethbridge College. Participants will head north along Scenic Drive to Mountain View Cemetery, loop back from the main entrance of the Cemetery and return the same way they started until reaching the finish line at Lethbridge College. The four-mile event is perfect for competitive runners, as well as runners who would like to run, jog, or walk at a leisurely pace.
Both events are Chip Timed. A group warm-up before the race will be performed by the Lethbridge College Be Fit for Life centre.
High School Road Race Challenge
Are you a high school student running the four-mile race? Be sure to indicate your school on the registration form and you will be entered into our High School Road Race Challenge. We will take the two highest ranking males and two highest ranking females from each school and use their time to determine the 2017 champion. The winning school will be awarded the prestigious High School Challenge trophy!
New for 2017: One Mile Kid’s Road Race
While you focus on the Kodiaks 10/4 road race, your children can compete in the one-mile kids race! Entry into the kid’s race is free with two adult registrations. Each participant will receive a squishy Kodi toy and a photo opportunity with Kodi, the Kodiaks mascot! The race starts at 10:30 a.m., meaning you’ll have time to race, cheer on your kids, and attend the awards show afterwards.
