Welcome to the Wapiti Bush Run
On Sunday, Aug 27th, 2017 come out and run in the Wapiti Bush Run.
5.5 km or 8.5 km race/run/jog/hike. (10:00 am)
The first 60 participant will receive a unique "Wapiti Bush Run Pocket Knife".
All runners entering by Monday, Aug 14th will receive a "unique bush lunch" hosted by the Gronlid Willing Workers Catering Company.
This race is being hosted by the Tisdale Track Club and the Melfort X-C Ski Club. Proceeds of the race will go towards projects undertaken by these two clubs. Your participation in the race is greatly appreciated!
Runners need to register for the run by Tuesday, August 22nd. However, runners registering after August 14th will not receive a post race lunch.

Accommodations, Pre-Race, Refreshments, Luncheon, Awards
Accommodation:
1. "Outerbanks Cabins and Chalets" are incredibly comfortable accommodations that are very near the starting line.
2. Runners are welcome to camp over night at the staring line parking lot. There are minimal bathroom facilities available.
Pre-Race:
1. Pre-Race runner's kits can be picked up at 8:30 - 9:30 am the morning of the race at the starting line.
Following the race:
1. Post race refreshements will be given after the race at the finish line.
2. For runners who registered for the run or purchased extra lunch tickets for family or friends by August 12th, there will be a luncheon held at the Gronlid Hall following the race starting at 11:30 am.
3. Awards for the top runners in the 8.5 km and 5.5 km will be presented at 1 pm at the Gronlid Hall. Other awards will be presented at this time as well.
4. The Bear's Ben at the Gronlid Hotel will be open for people 19 plus to a beverage after the luncheon.
Awards
Gold, Silver, Bronze Medals for the top 3 males in 8.5 km run.
Gold, Silver, Bronze Medals for the top 3 females in 8.5 km run.
Gold, Silver, Bronze Medals for the top 3 males in the 5.5 km run.
Gold, Silver, Bronze Medals for the top 3 females in the 5.5 km run.
These medals will be given out about 1 pm.
Please plan to attend if you are receiving a medal.
Plus, there will be other "special awards" given out at this time as well.
