Greenacres Freedom Park is located across from Okeeheelee Park on Pinehurst Drive past Okeeheelee Middle School.
WHAT: Kijana Educational Empowerment Initiative presents its inaugral Kijana 5K, a race for runners and walkers of all ages, at Okeeheelee Park. The race features a 5K (3.1 mile) scenic route in the park.

ABOUT US: This run/walk is an element of our Capital Campaign launch to raise funds to build our own new visionary school in Kenya. Money raised from this event will help launch the first Kijana Global Innovation School.
Kijana Educational Empowerment Initiative, a non-profit organization, promotes and cultivates youth empowerment through educational development, cross-cultural dialogue, and sustainable and environmentally friendly economic growth, among rural Kenyan school communities and American school communities.We have invested in 25 schools since our inception in 2002-2003. Our most notable investments have been at Mwituha Secondary School, Ebusiloli Secondary and Primary Schools, Ebukuya Primary School, Ebbiba Primary School and Essaba Secondary and Primary Schools. Thousands of students and their families have benefited directly by our contributions to their school communities.
