IMPORTANT NOTICE - CHANGE OF VENUE (See map below)
Due to unforeseen circumstances the Wainwright Runner’s Bison Run will be moving venues to the Riverdale Campground. It is located on Hwy 41, 19kms North of Wainwright. The event will remain the same (2K, 5K run/walk and 10K) and same start times. This location will have less mud and take place on a more firmly packed gravel road so trail shoes will still be recommended.
Please remember that we are celebrating Earth Day so please bring your own cup (we will have limited cups), we will still be accepting old running shoes for “Soles for Souls” and be enjoying a nice scenic location along the Battle River so please “leave no trace”.
Here is how to get to Riverdale Mini Park
It is 19K north of Wainwright on Hiway 41.
A new race organized by the Wainwright Runners offers a challenging start to your racing season and a great way to celebrate Earth Day. Join us for a 5K, 10K, or a 2K kids run . The route is out and back on a dirt road. Every participant walks away with a two year old lodgepole pine. For those lucky enough to place in the top three spots of their running category, they will walk away with a hand painted mug by Canadian Artist Debra Cherniawsky-Durrer.
