"Perth Run for Refugees" is a new event being organized by the Northgate Ministry (Perth), and is the main fund raising event for the sponsorship of three refugees coming to Perth, and other local refugee initiatives.

RACE FORMAT DETAILS
Time-Graded Start!
Race Format will be handicapped based on your race time submitted when you register. The "Time-Graded" start, will in theory allow all the runners to finish at roughly the same time ..with the person with the best effort on the day, coming out as the winner. It is a way to even the field, allowing anyone to have the potential to win the race!! But you will still get your "real-time" chip time as well!
This is a very popular approach to races with British running clubs. We tried it once in Perth before, and the runner feedback was very positive. So don't worry too much if you don't quite understand the concept ... just try to be as accurate as possible when providing your fastest run time in the past couple years, and we'll set you up on a race day for a great run experience!
