We are very excited to host the 2nd annual Great Gower Run on September 30th, 2017! Our goal is to bring together the community of North Gower with a fun, family-friendly running event that focuses on health, wellness and inclusiveness. All proceeds from the event will go towards raising funds for local youth community initiatives in North Gower and youth mental health and wellness initiatives within the larger Ottawa area. Last year we were able to donate $1500 to the CHEO foundation - Youth Net. We are also working closely with the NGRA to possibly bring a skateboard/bmx park to North Gower in the very near future!
Our 2k run/walk event is geared towards community members of all ages and fitness levels! Just come out and have fun! Run or walk, whatever makes you happy!
Our 5k/10k events are again geared towards all community members, however this is a chip-timed event for those of you more serious runners!
There will be prizes for the top 3 finishers in each event, as well as finisher's swag for all participants!
