King of the Castle Vertical Climb & Trails in Motion Film Festival

Back for a second year, the King of the Castle Vertical Climb & Trails in Motion Film Festival, presented by Stag Leap Running Co. and Elevation Showcase, in Fernie, BC.

KING OF THE CASTLE VERTICAL CLIMB, Sunday July 2nd, 10AM

Racers challenge themselves with a vert filled adventure, climbing up to Castle Rocks. High fives, gorgeous views and ultimate glory awaits.

Start: Park at River Extension Road, off Coal Creek Road. Start line short walk from there.

Finish: Castle Rocks! Once all racers have finish, racers can make their way back down to the start line for snack and a cold beer!

Route: Roots Extension - Hyper Extension - Castle Rocks

Course: 5km, 677m climb

Bib pick up: 8.30-9.30AM, at the start line.

Race start: 10AM.

Costs: Adult $25, Youth 8-18yrs $15 (discount applied in cart)

Race Entry includes an Elevation Showcase Racer Giveaway, Fernie Brewing Co. Finish Line Beer, snacks & $5 racer donation to Fernie Trails Alliance.

Awards: New this year! Taking place at 6.30pm at the Fernie Arts Station, before the 7pm screening of the 2017 Trails in Motion Film Fesival. Doors open 6pm for cash bar and awards. Separate ticket required for film festival - max 100 seats for film fest!

PLEASE NOTE: Youth Runners aged 8-18yrs are allowed, however racers 12 and under must race with an adult. Please contact us to discuss possible exceptions to this rule.

TRAILS IN MOTION FILM FESTIVAL 2017, Sunday July 2nd, 7PM

The Trails In Motion Film Festival is a global annual trail and ultra running film tour creating an annual outlet for aspiring international film makers in this genre, but also to create a global community of like minded people who share a passion for the sport.

Enjoyed last year's reel? This year might be even better! A fun evening of inspiring films, draw prizes and beer awaits you! Fun for the whole family.

Where: The Fernie Arts Station

When: Doors open 6PM. Awards for King of the Castle take place at 6.30PM. Films start at 7PM.

Costs: Adult $20, Youth 8-18yrs $10 (discount applied in cart). Max 100 seats for film fest!
