NCCP Competition Development clinic
This hands-on practical course is unique to the New Brunswick Weightlifting Association
Competition Introduction
Candidates in this course will learn how to properly perform and instruct the snatch, clean and jerk, and related training exercises in a fun and encouraging environment. You will also learn important information on safety, training program design, competition preparation, rules and procedures of competition and working with athletes of any age. No experience in weightlifting or weight training required.
Facilitator
Coach Daniel Robitaille is a 5-time olympic weightlifting national champion (junior and senior). He was appointed national team coach at World Championships and Pan-American games (1981-1999). He was also the personal coach of World Championship bronze medalist Julie Malenfant.
The National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) is a coach training and certification program for 65 different sports and is offered in both official languages across Canada. NCCP workshops are designed to meet the needs of all types of coaches, from the first-time coach to the head coach of a national team. The NCCP is the recognized national standard for coach training and certification in Canada.
