NSWA High Performance Training Camp
This is a practical hands-on weekend training camp for advanced athletes wanting to pursue better execution and subsequent performance in the snatch and the clean and jerk. Training will include snatch and clean and jerk combination exercises with technical emphasis on bar path, leading to proper catch position. This camp is intended for advanced athletes who are interested in advancing their competetive advantage.
The training camp will be scheduled across three successive days (August 11 - 13, 2017). Athletes are strongly encouraged to invite their personal coaches to this training camp should they have one.
To be eligible for registration, athletes must have totaled at least 50% of the CWFHC Senior Marker in their category in a sanctioned competition on or after September 1st, 2016.
Facilitator
Coach Daniel Robitaille is a 5-time olympic weightlifting national champion (junior and senior). He was appointed national team coach at World Championships and Pan-American games (1981-1999). He was also the personal coach of World Championship bronze medalist Julie Malenfant.
