Join us for the Baylor Scott & White Firecracker 5k on July 4 as we celebrate freedom by helping bring freedom to children trapped in slavery! All race proceeds benefit Mercy Project, a local non-profit aiming to eradicate slavery in Ghana, Africa.
The event will take place Tuesday, July 4, at 8AM from the Center Station shopping center (right in front of Brazos Running Company), into the historic College Hills neighborhood and back. The race is designed for runners and walkers of all ages, and we invite you to gather your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers to join us.
To keep the price at a minimum and maintain a fun run atmosphere, chip-timing will not be offered for this race. All runners will receive a race t-shirt and post-race all-american goodies – watermelon and apple pie. Runners are encouraged to dress in America-themed costumes. The race fee is only $25 for adults, $20 for students, or $75 per family of up to five people. Packet Pickup will be from noon to 7 Monday, July 3rd at Brazos Running Company, and for our out-of-town runners from 6:30-7:30 AM on July 4 at the start line. Brazos Running Company is located at 1667 Texas Ave. South, College Station, 77845 (right next to Kohl's).
This is part of the 2017 BCS Marathon Race Series. For more information about the other races in the series check out bcsraceseries.com. All races in the series benefit Mercy Project.
