Pups in the Park 5K

Not ready for a 5K? Try the 0K! Yup…you read it right…a 0K. Bring a lawn chair and set up at the finish line and enjoy the show as all the runners head out and return all sweaty. We'll provide you with a race shirt and a number…no awards though.

Proceeds from the event go to the Dawson County Humane Society, a NO kill shelter dedicated to finding homes for the homeless dogs & cats in Dawson County.

We've put together a way for you to race for free, and help the humane society even more! Register for the Fundraising 5K, which has a $0.00 entry fee. Then just raise a minimum of $200, and your entry fee is covered.

We'll give you all the tools you need to make it work. When you arrive on race day, you check in like normal, and if you've met your minimum, then you're all set. If you're under $200, then you'll either take care of the difference, or pay the $25 entry fee.

Registration for the 5K is $25, and participants that are registered by 9/17 are guaranteed a race shirt in their size. Registrations after that will receive a shirt while supplies last. Race day registrations are welcome for $5 additional.

We may be racing in North Georgia but this course is Pretty flat & Super fast! So whether you're coming out to set a PR, or just coming to get your glow on, you're guaranteed to have a good time!

• Top 3 in each of the normal 5 year age groups 10 & Under through 75+.

It's a Dog's Day at the park. You can bring your pooch to run the 5K or sit with you during the 0K. We'll be handing out awards to the fastest dogs too!

All participants will automatically qualify for:

• FREE entry into the Five Star Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot or the Early Bird Turkey Trot (11/18).
• Top finishers will also have the opportunity earn a spot in the championships to be held on Dec 10, 2017. The number of spots available is based on the total registration...see event website for details.

Our events are designed to be fun and for the entire family. With that in mind any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.

All registrations are final...We're sorry, but their are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.

Event will go rain or shine...in th event of lighting or other dangerous conditions, the event would be cancelled.
