In the tradition ofprevious Great Grand Manan Adventures we will once again have a new twist. We are back with our friends at Adventure High for some kayaking but then it is on to explore a whole new area of the Island.
We will be hiking and kayaking this year. Please be prepared to do some driving on the Island to get to some previously unexplored areas. Carpooling will work great among friends.
The price includes the kayaking, the guided hiking tours, supper on Saturday night and a Saturday night social at the Gathering Place at the Castalia Marsh retreat. We officially get underway Saturday morning about 9:30 when the first boat of the day arrives from the mainland. However, many participants make a longer weekend of it and arrive Friday night. We will be there from Thursday on and will be happy to have more visitors. We will have events all day Saturday and Sunday morning, but will finish in time for you to catch the 3:30 boat home
There are a number of accomodation options you can book, including cottages, Inns and camp grounds... a link is provided below. Some popular places in the past have been the Castalia Marsh Retreat (where we will be staying), the Marathon Inn and the Compass Rose to name a few.
