RACE TO EDUCATE STUDENTS WITH AUTISM
Join us for our Annual 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run to support Spectrum Academy and the education of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders!
The races are all-ages events that start and end at the North Salt Lake campus and follow a scenic flat terrain along a paved nature trail. Winners take home a Thanksgiving turkey!
We emphasize the ‘FUN’ in the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk by allowing participants to race by running, walking, biking, or riding scooters. Costumes are welcome, and a prize will be given to the most creative contestant.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
ASD is a neurodevelopmental disability that leads to challenges with communication, behavior and social interactions that can persist througout a person's life. Currently, 1 in 54 children in Utah are identified with an ASD, about 2% of the population.
About Spectrum Academy
Spectrum Academy is the only charter school in Utah to focus primarily on the unique learning needs of children with ASD. Through small class sizes, individualized instruction and an innovative social skills curriculum, we help students reach their fullest potential academically, socially and emotionally, so they may enjoy productive and successful futures. We educate ~1100 students, K-12, from all across the Wasatch Front.
