Dead Band Running 5K
The Day of the Dead is almost upon us, and the Pope High School Band has a 5K planned to gather up all of the ghouls.
Nothing too scary...just loads of fun. Dress up in costume, or wear your running clothes...either way you'll be set and ready to go.
We're running at the Mountain View Aquatic Center in East Cobb (Marietta), and we'll be starting at 7:00 pm. You can run or walk, either way, we'll have great long sleeve race shirts and award medals (Overall M/F, Overall Master M/F, Overall Grand Master M/F, Overall Sr. Master M/F).

We have several Bib/Packet pickup options available for you.
Individual online entry is $30 (we'll have extras, but we can only guarantee your shirt & size if you register by 10/22)
Race day registration opens at 6:00 pm on race day at the race site and is $5 additional (shirts will be available while supplies last).
STUDENTS...whether you're in Kindergarten or College...save $5 off your entry...just bring an ID with your to pickup you bib.
Special shirt option...Don't want a long sleeve shirt...no problem...you can get a short sleeve instead...AND...they glow in the dark.
Event proceeds help the Pope High School Band keep dues affordable and replace Bessie, our aging band truck. She's on her last wheels, and we are a band on the move! Come run (or walk) with us at our inaugural 5K and have some "Dead Band Running" fun!
Contributions are tax deductible and administered by the Pope Band Parents Association (PBPA), a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization that exists solely to support the needs of the Pope High School Band program. The IRS Tax ID is 58-1745105.

Then the virtual race is for you.
Here's how it works:
1. Register for the Virtual division & Start Training
2. The week of the event you'll receive your bib via email
3. The day before the race you'll receive instructions & a link to submit your race time
4. Submit your race time by end of race day
5. The day after the race results (Virtual division) will be posted online
6. Monday after the race you'll receive an email with a link to the results & any pictures.
7. Monday after the race we'll package up all the T-shirts, medals, and keepsake bibs; and put them in the mail.

One of which is the Team Check In Box
When you join a team you'll have the option to have your bib, shirt, and any other goodies put into a team box. The first member just picks up the box, and hands everything out to all the participants. No lines! It's quick & easy.
This event is for the Pope High School Band...So there is no way we're going to let people come and not have a chance to listen to some great music before, during, and after the race...so don't plan on rushing out when you're finished...we're going to have a great time.

Our events are designed to be fun and for the entire family. With that in mind any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
All registrations are final...we're sorry, but there are no transfers, deferments, or refunds.
