FIT RUN 5K
Fall colors should be filling the trees on Nov. 4 when runners gather at the South Carolina Botanical Garden for a 3.1-mile run that promotes healthy competition while raising money for a Clemson University student group. Join us!
When: Saturday, Nov. 4 (please be in place at 8:45 a.m. for the 9 a.m. start)
This event will be happening rain or shine.
Where: South Carolina Botanical Garden, Clemson, South Carolina
Who can participate: Everyone! Runners and walkers from all backgrounds and majors!
Packet pickup: Nov. 2 and 3 in Riggs Hall 100a, going from 9:30-11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m.-12 p.m on Friday. Packets can also be picked up at the Botanical Garden on race day.
Department Teams: If you are a member of CECAS or the College of Science and would like more information on how to race as part of your department's team, email cesfitrun@gmail.com with your name and major after you have registered.
Online registration: Closes at 11:59 p.m. Oct. 31st, but you can still register in person on race day or during packet pickup in Riggs Hall, 100 A, at the following times:
Thursday from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. and 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Friday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Please note that T-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed if you register in person.
Race day parking: Access the start of the race by entering the Botanical Garden at Garden Trail off Perimeter Road. Please park in the lot next to the Campbell Geology Museum.

Race Route Instructions
START: The cul de sac off of Garden Trail
Run out to the Garden Trail Road and turn right
Go to the Botanical Garden Entrance and U-Turn
Go down the hill and stay right at the first fork
Go straight down hill and into woods
Lap 1: Veer right at the second fork
Lap 1: Continue straight passing “P” sign on your left
Lap 1: Continue right past cut through area
Lap 1: U turn left at loop end
Lap 1: Continue straight until you reach the second fork
Lap 1: U turn left to begin lap 2
*Lap 2 begins*
Lap 2: Continue straight passing “P” sign on your left
Lap 2: Continue right past cut through area
Lap 2: Continue right at loop end
Lap 2: Turn left at stop sign intersection
Lap 2: Right turn into Hanover house loop
Lap 2: After completing loop at Hanover house, continue left
Lap 2: Follow road straight back to beginning of race, always keeping right
FINISH: Come out of woods and turn left into the Bob Campbell Geology Museum Parking Lot. Run through the Finish Line.
Parking Info
The race begins at 9 am so please plan to arrive early to check in and find parking.
Parking is available for the race in the lot next to the Campbell Geology Museum.
Volunteers will direct overflow traffic across the street to Clemson's R4 Parking Lot.
