Runners and walkers of all ages can participate in this annual fall race. The 5K course is USATF certified (IL-15011JV) and all participants will receive a race t-shirt, running bib with timing chip, entry to post race refreshments and more. Official Taste Sponsor: Burt's Place. 5K awards for 1st overall male and female and 1st through 3rd place finishers in each age group. Race to the Taste 5K Run and walk benefits the MGPD Financial Assistance Program.

General Information

Online Registration Closes Midnight Tuesday, October 3rd

5K will begin promptly at 8:05 am (race day registration closes at 7:45 am)

50 Yard Dash starts promptly at 9:30 am (race day registration closes at 9:15 am)

100 Yard Dash starts promptly at 9:45 am (race day registration closes at 9:15 am)

Race Timing

We use a disposable chip timing tag for the 5K that is attached to the back of the race bib. It is lightweight and is covered by a foam strip. It must remain attached to the race bib. Runners MUST wear their race bibs on the front of their clothing in order to be timed accurately. The bib cannot be covered, holding it in your hand or putting it in your pocket will NOT read the chip. Do not bend the chip.

Packet Pick-Up
Pre-Registered Packet Pick-up and Walk in Registration will take place at Prairie View Community Center, 6834 Dempster St. on Wednesday, October 4 from 2pm - 8pm and Thursday, October 5 9am - 5pm Walk-in Registration Welcome

Race Day Registration and Packet Pick-Up
6:45-7:45 am. No 5K registrations will be accepted after 7:45 am

5K Awards
Overall Male and Female from Morton Grove, Top three Male and Female Overalland and top three Male and Female in the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.
