Valley View PTA in partnership with the Valley View Ruritan Club is dedicating this year’s 5K race as a memorial to Dana Jones. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Dana Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Dana was a much loved and respected educator in our area for many years.She cared very deeply about her students and their education. It was a great loss when Dana passed away in December 2013 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Our race begins at 8:30 am at the Valley View school campus. The Course will be mostly flat and fast in and about the School campus. The course paved rural and neighborhood roads.
The 5K will kick off a day of fun and festivities with the Valley View Fall Festival to follow. Join us for a guaranteed good time for the entire family, on Saturday, October 21sth!! Check out our website's News & Events page for even more information: www.ValleyViewPTA.org
Registration:
5K - $20 thru 10/20/2017, $25 after 10/20/2017. Online Registration will close at 9:00 p.m. on 10/20/2017. On-site registration will open at 7:00 a.m. the day of the race.
Must be registered by October 13th at noon to guarantee a t-shirt size, We will order a number of extra shirts. They will be given first come first serve until we run out.
This is not a timed event. Prizes will be awarded to male and female 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners and to every child 12 years and under.
