Like most of us with a chronic migraine story, I can tell you the exact date and time that divided my life into two segments: Before Pain and After Pain.  There was no dramatic moment, no accident or violent event; I simply woke up three days after my 24th birthday with a migraine aura. The aura turned into an intractable migraine that I would spend the next four years (and counting) trying to defeat. My life turned upside down when I became disabled from Chronic Migraine at the age of 24. The lack of effective treatment options - or, even, a cure - is devastating for the millions who live with Migraine. More research funding is desperately needed to better understand this complex neurological disease and give us back the healthy lives we deserve. I am grateful for every penny dedicated to this important, underfunded cause.
