Join the Our Lady of Mercy community for our annual 5k race during MercyFest weekend! Funds raised through MercyFest events like the 5K help maintain the Parish Life Center and support various programs for the community. This year's focus is Hesed House, from right here in Aurora. This is a USATF certified course that starts at the MercyFest carnival site and runs through the beautiful Waubonsie Creek Trail.
The Have Mercy on Our Soles 5K race has always been a run/walk that families can enjoy together. We'll be holding our Fastest Familly contest again, so bring the whole family for a friendly competition with your neighbors! We offer discounted family (team) pricing and we'll be giving medals to the teams with the fastest average times (minimum of 3 runners).
In support of Hesed House, we are encouraging all participants to bring new pairs of heavy gloves, thermal underwear, hand warmers or winter hats to donate.
The race starts at 9:00 am and is followed by award presentations complete with chili and beer in the Big Tent at 10:00 am.

Water will be available on 5K course with fruit, beverages, sponsor samples, & chili and beer (21 & over) in Big Tent after race!

Parking
Parking is available at Waubonsie Valley High School just south of Our Lady of Mercy on Eola Road.
Directions
OLM is located a quarter of mile north of the intersection of Ogden Avenue and Eola Road next to Waubonsie Valley HS and the FVPD Eola Community Center.
Packet Pickup
We will have three pre-race packet pickup options:
Thursday, October 5th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Road Runner Sports 2555 W. 75th St. Naperville
Friday, October 6th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in front of the Big Tent @ Mercy Fest
On race day beginning at 7:00 a.m. at Mercy Fest.
Race Day registration is open from 7:00-8:30am
Awards
Plaques and a gift card will be awarded to the top male and female in the 5K. Medals will be presented to the top three male and female 5K finishers in each age group as well as the family with the fastest average time in each family size group. All pre-registered runners will receive a race shirt. Race shirts for runners who register AFTER October 4th are not guaranteed.
