Turkey Day 5K

Join us on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2017 at our first annual Turkey Day 5K Run/Walk for the ReCreate Russellville Foundation. ReCreate is a 501(c)3 non-profit with a vision for development in various areas of the River Valley. Registration fee is $25 in advance, $30 on the day of the race.

The Turkey Day 5k will start at Russellville Jr High School, turn left on Parkway to North Phoenix, Right on Glenwood St, into ATU's beautiful campus. Then turn right onto the new ATU/Aquatic center trail towards the new Russellvlle Aquatic center, followed by a left onto N. Phoenix and return back to RJHS, via Parkway, for a nice easy finish. This race will be hand timed and will have unique awards and great participant shirts.

ReCreate has 3 projects planned for 2018. 1) A continuation of our initial project in 2017, flower hanging baskets in the downtown area. 2) Renovation of 2 soccer fields at the Russellville soccer complex to include chemical maintenance, grounds maintenance, and etc to acheive a professional turf field. 3) Construction of a new "inclusive and sensory play" playground for the children in our community. Proceeds from registrations will go directly to ReCreate Russellville.
