My Story…

I am once again running the sporting life 10k this year in memory of Cassidy. It will be my third year doing so. Cassidy, one of my best friends, died three years ago because of cancer. As a child she had attended camp Ooch and it was one of her favorite places. Children deserve the opportunity to go to camp, a place where they can have fun, laugh in the sun and just all round be kids. From having worked at a Camp last summer I have seen the great joy a week at camp can bring to a child's life. Just because a child had cancer should not be a reason to stop them from going to camp. Camp Ooch is a camp for kids with cancer, it's a place where they an just be kids but also get/continue with treatments they may be receiving around the time they are at camp.  Please he'll me help the kids suffering with cancer by donating Thank you so much for your love and support, Nancy

Help send kids affected by cancer to Camp Ooch!

Camp Oochigeas (Ooch) provides children with and affected by childhood cancer with what they need most – the chance to be a kid. Ooch is the only residential camp in Ontario to offer on-site IV chemotherapy and blood transfusions providing access to campers in active treatment the friendship and fun of Camp. Operating 365 days a year, Ooch offers programs at a residential camp in Muskoka, at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), three other regional cancer centres and at Ooch Downtown in the heart of Toronto.

As a registered charity that receives no government funding, Ooch relies exclusively on the generous support of fundraisers, individual and corporate donors like you.
