For over 60 years, Heart and Stroke has been dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Our work has saved thousands of lives and improved the lives of millions of others. 9 in 10 Canadians have one or more risk factors for heart disease or stroke; it is our mission is to empower prevention through advocacy and health promotion, and transform recovery through life-saving research. Over our six decades of work, there has been a 75% reduction in heart and stroke death rates, we have invested $1.45 billion in vital research and currently have 850 researchers working to create a Canada free of heart disease and stroke.
