Help Evan raise money

In 2016 KidSport gave grants to over 7500 kids in BC to help remove the financial barriers to sport participation. I have been lucky enough to be involved in sport my entire life and can speak for hours on end about how the values and lessons I have learnt through sport have shaped me into who I am today. In 2016, while KidSport was giving thousands of kids their start in sport, I was reaching the pinnacle of mine. At the Rio Olympics I competed in the 20km and 50km Race Walk events, achieving a life long goal and demonstrating some of the values, like hard work, sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork that I learnt through my journey. No one should miss out on these opportunities because of the prohibitive cost of registration fees and that is why KidSport gives out grants of up to $400 #SoAllKidsCanPlay. Through the Victoria Marathon I have set myself the modest fundraising goal of $400 so that together we can ensure that one more child gets to experience the magic of sport!
