Salute to Veterans - Patriots 5k & Fun Run

This is our inuagural event and we have made it "Family Friendly"; suitable for runners/walkers of all abilities.

Race Fees:

• $25 for 5k, $15 for fun run before September 15th
• $30 for 5k, $20 for fun run after September 15th and on Race day.

Race Day Schedule:

• Race Day registration starts at 8 a.m. at the entrance of Jonathan Dayton High-School
• 5k Race starts promptly at 9 a.m.
• Fun Run starts at 10:15 a.m. at Roessner field
• Awards will immediately follow the 5K
• Following the races, Union County & Springfield will be holding a street fair honoring a veteran from each of the 21 towns in Union County

Ammenities:

• Dri-fit T shirt guaranteed for each registered entrant, but quantities by sizes may be limited.
• Post Race activities and events will take place at Roessner Field

Temple Sha’arey Shalom

Our temple raises money all year long, not only for our temple, but for the community at large. We donate to the Elizabeth soup kitchen. We work with other temples and churches to house the homeless. PARKING:

Parking for the race can be done in the main parking lot behind the high-school, or on local streets in the areas between Caldwell Place and Salter Street. Parking will also be allowed in the James Caldwell School lot, and municipal lots x & y between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on race day. Please note that some local roads will be partially closed to traffic for the race and subsequent street fair, so plan your route in advance.
