Raise money for Eat2Learn

The EAT 2 LEARN Partnership was formed in 2002 with a purpose of working together with schools, parents and local communities to help them understand, accept, support and deliver sustainable, unique Student Nutrition Programs.  In working toward this vision, EAT 2 LEARN has dedicated itself to providing students in Elgin and St. Thomas access to and knowledge of healthy food choices.  At all times, a consistent message of availability, universality and acceptance is promoted.

Schools may choose to operate a Breakfast Program, serving 3 of the 4 food groups from Canada's Food Guide, or a Snack Program, serving 2 of the 4 food groups with every program including a fruit or vegetable choice for students.

Benefits of Student Nutrition Programs:

  • Increased nutrition knowledge
  • Improved problem solving skills
  • Better retention of information
  • Longer attention span
  • Reduced absenteeism and lateness
  • Enhanced self-esteem, cooperation and social skills
  • Opportunity to develop lifelong healthy eating habits
  • Promoting community engagement
