The 24th Annual German American Oktoberfest Night Run is set for 6:00 pm on September 16th, 2017 at Freedom Crossing on Fort Bliss. The run is sponsored by the German Air Force Air Defense Center and Fort Bliss Family and MWR. Over 1,000 participants are expected in the year's run, amongst them 400-500 walkers and 15 to 20 JROTC & Military teams. The event is open to the El Paso Community!
Pre-race activities begin at 4:00 pm. Activities include a variety of entertainment, along with the sale of German Bratwurst. The Deputy Commander of the German Air Force Air Defense Center will welcome the participants with a brief address and officially start the event.
Join us afterwards for Bratwurst and of course German Bier! Live Music!
This event will be held rain or shine, no refunder or registration transfers will be permitted.

Awards: 1st through 3rd place awards will be presented in all men's and women's categories. First place awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers. **awards presented in 8K Competitive Run Only**
Military Team Competition: A team consists of a maximum of 10 members; the best 5 runners will be scored towards the team competition. Only teams with all active duty service members will be eligible for the monetary prizes (1st place - $1,000 // 2nd place - $500 // 3rd place - $250)
JROTC Team Competition: A team consists of a maximum of 10 members; the best 5 runners will be scored towards the team competition. Only teams with all JROTC members will be eligible for awards. Trophies will be given to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers.
