Whistler Half Marathon 2018
One of Canada's most scenic run courses is right here in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia. Whistler is a destination that ranks at the top of many an adventurers places to visit and our event is but one way to experience Whistler - to RUN Whistler. We promise an event that is world class and pristine - one that matches our natural surroundings. Clean air, towering glacier capped mountain peaks, lush forests, and glistening lakes all combine to create courses that are breathtaking, in a good way. Register today!
The Whistler Kids Run is a "just under" 1km run through Whistler Village open to children of all ages, but is primarily aimed at introducing young children (aged 5-9) to the wonders of running in a fun and parent friendly run (parents can run with their kids if that makes the child more comfortable - no charge for the adult). This non-competitive (everyone's a winner!) kids run will include distance markers, a big crowd, a finishers award, and post run snacks just like mom and dad's big run.
This scenic 21.1 course is designed to showcase all that Whistler is - an amazing town nestled in the coast mountains of BC. It doesn't take long to understand how this place was chosen to be the host mountain resort of the 2010 Winter Games. With towering glacier capped mountains as the backdrop, it is no wonder that Whistler's only half marathon has made it to the "must do" list for distance runners from across North America.
Our new 30KM Lost Lake Challenge course combines our half marathon course with an additional 8.9KM of amazing non technical trail running on the crushed gravel surface of the Tin Pants trail network in Lost Lake Park. This route will challenge the seasoned marathon runner as well as provide an opportunity for the runner looking to "bridge the gap" between the half marathon and full marathon distance. The course will be open until noon.
At just shy of half of a half marathon, the 10km course is no less spectacular nor the experience any less exciting. Our 10km course, like the half marathon course, is breathtaking - in a good way. The 10km event is great for runners looking for their first longer distance event, or for more experienced athletes training for longer distances to get some "race training" in. Whether you are a just starting to run or are an elite athlete, challenge yourself to push your limits, and create your own adventure here in Whistler.
Perfect for runners aged 10-99, the 5km distance is great for competitive runners, new runners, youth, or anyone just looking to add to a healthy living lifestyle. A flat and fast course will be on offer, and just like our other distances the scenery and mountain backdrop will be stunning; breathtaking - in a good way. The course is well designed for all athletes; with runner experience and safety top of mind.
Casual and un-timed run with your best pal on the trails of Lost Lake. The Dog Jog will take place on Sunday, June 3rd, 2018
No refunds or cancellations will be accepted on your registration. Your race entry can be deferred to 2019 for medical issues only, if an email is sent by May 1, 2018 to the race organizers (email@example.com).
