The Great Huey P Long Bridge Run

The Great Huey P Long Bridge Run is proud to be a part of the Louisiana Bridge Run Series. To participate in the series, runners must complete all 3 bridge runs:

1. The United Way of St. Charles Bridge Run 5K - Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 8:30 am
2. The Great Huey P Long Bridge Run (5K) – Saturday, May 12 at 8:00 am
3. The Crescent City Connection Bridge Run (4 mi) – Saturday, June 2, 2018 7:00 pm

Series finishers receive a commemorative medallion presented at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent Connection. The overall male & female winners will be crowned “King of the River” and “Queen of the River” -- cumulative finishing times are used for awards. Register separately for each race. Production teams will coordinate entries, times and awards.

The bridge will be blocked to traffic during the race to ensure the safety of all runners/walkers. A water station and port-o-potty will be positioned within the course for convenience. Spectators will not be allowed on the bridge during the race, but will have safe areas to cheer runners as they descend the structure and head for home.

Start on the Eastbank
• It's up and over the bridge in 2018. The Start and Finish will be on the Eastbank and the Finish on the Westbank at the Gumbo Festival Park -- where we have held the post-race party last few years. #GeauxOverIt

PACKET PICKUP

Participants must present a government issued ID to pickup race packet. Proxy pickup (picking up a packet for someone else) is the process is as follows: a printed or electronic copy of that participant’s photo ID is required. Must be 18 or older for proxy pickup of another runner’s packet and bib. There are no exceptions to this rule.

SUPPORT

FINISH

Finish at the Gumbo Festival Park in Bridge City on the Westbank. Runners/walkers will hit the afterburners for the home stretch into the Finish Line chute. A professional finish line structure, music, spectators and volunteers cheering you in.
