IMPORTANT RACE INFORMATION

Please read and take note of the following important race information.

REGISTRATION WILL BE ONLINE ONLY FOR 2018. Please follow the link on the “Online Registration” tab at www.cockadoodleshoe.com

THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION EXCEPT THE KID’S SNOWSHOE SCRAMBLE 1/2 MILE.

THERE WILL BE A LIMITED NUMBER OF T-SHIRTS AVAILABLE. These will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. There was an issue with the online registration site early on where registrants could not select a shirt. I have a list of these athletes. If you have not already done so please contact me with your shirt size preference at cockadoodleshoe@gmail.com SHIRT SIZES ARE GENDER SPECIFIC THIS YEAR.

Loaner snowshoes by race sponsor Dion Snowshoes and The Town of Plattsburgh Parks and Recreation Department will have limited availability and participants requiring loaners should consider contacting us in advance to reserve a pair.

Those athletes traveling from out of town will be able to pick up their numbers bags at the Dannemora Community Center located at 40 Emmons Street, Dannemora, New York 12929 from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM the morning of the race. All athletes staying in or are local to the area are asked to pick up their number bags Saturday January 13th at Kinetic Running in Plattsburgh. They will be open from 10:00 AM until 7:00PM. This will help alleviate congestion on the morning of the race. I thank you in advance for your consideration.

Due to the expected larger field of participants for 2018 there will be NO PARKING AT THE RACE SITE. This year parking, awards, and all other post race activities will be taking place at the Dannemora Community Center. Parking space is going to be a bit tight so please respect and follow the directions of those directing parking lot traffic. Participants are asked to car pool when possible (besides it is the environmentally correct thing to do).

Shuttles will be transporting athletes to the New Land Trust and then back to the Dannemora Community Center. This is a short 9 mile trip one way. Shuttles will depart in either direction when full.

10:00 AM Kid’s Snowshoe Scramble 1/2 Mile

10:30 AM Nicolas Pendl 5K / WSSF North American Junior Snowshoe Championship

12:00 PM The Cock-A-Doodle-Shoe 10K / WSSF North American Open/Masters Snowshoe Championship

2:30 PM - 4:30 PM Awards, Post Race Raffle and Refreshments
