STRIDES FOR CHANGE
Bring your friends, family and co-workers to MADD Canada’s 5km signature walk/run, Strides for Change! Enjoy a walk or run through Truro's lovely Victoria Park. Make it a family event by participating in a kid’s zone, tribute and survivor area and much more both before and after the walk!
Every step taken and pledge made will help raise funds and awareness for MADD Canada’s programs and services in Nova Scotia that will serve to keep our children and communities safer.
The Short Stride (1KM)
Perfect for kids, families, walkers or those looking for a quick 1000metre dash. A great way to be active and get involved with MADD Nova Scotia.
The Full Stride (5KM)
This 5km route will take you through scenic Victoria Park in Truro. Perfect for the new or experienced runner or walkers looking for a leisurely stroll!

Pledge
WHO IS MADD CANADA? MADD Canada is a non–profit organization that is committed to stopping impaired driving and supporting the victims of this violent crime. MADD Canada’s aim is to offer support to the victims, heighten awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving, and to save lives and prevent injuries on our roads. STATISTICS 1) Just under 4 Canadians are killed and just under 175 Canadians are injured each day due to crashes involving alcohol or drugs. 2) Approximately 75,000 Canadians are impacted by impaired drivers annually. 3) There are an estimated 12.5 million trips of impaired driving each year in Canada.
MADD Canada has a proven track record of keeping our roadways safer and for saving lives. Every step taken and pledge received will help raise much needed funds and heighten awareness of our vital programs and services. The Nova Scotia MADD Chapters are looking forward to seeing you on May 12th for our Strides for Change event!
