Big Peach Sizzler 10K and 5K

M4CF was founded in 2007 by Dr Peter Scott, a pediatric pulmonologist whose practice involved caring for children living with cystic fibrosis.

Dr Scott, a marathon runner, likened the discipline & determination necessary to comply with the basic treatment regimens for CF with the dedication required to train for a distance running event.

And so, the idea to raise funds to assist these individuals and their families through participation in running events was born.

Now, more than 10 years later, M4CF has grown to provide support through multiple channels.

Emergency financial assistance to help local families meet basic living expenses is provided through grants to the CF Reaching Out Foundation.

Regular physical activity has been shown to improve the overall quality of life for children and adults living with CF. M4CF started the BreatheStrong program in 2016 to support and encourage participation by individuals living with CF in a variety of healthy activities.

M4CF also supports research toward a cure through an annual grant to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Since 2011, The Big Peach Sizzler 10K has been the primary fundraiser for the work that M4CF does. The Big Peach Sizzler 5K makes it's debut in 2018. All proceeds from both events go directly to the charity.

1. How do I create a fundraising page? When you register for the race, you will receive a confirmation that includes a "VISIT DASHBOARD" button. There is a link on your dashboard to edit fundraising page. Add your picture and tell your story - or you can just use the default message already included.
2. What do I do if I deleted my confirmation? Download PDF for step-by-step directions on how to create a pledge page.
3. How can I contribute someone else's fundraising page? Click on Pledge Participants on the left sidebar.
4. How can I share my fundraising page? Go to your fundraising page and copy the URL or share on Facebook, Twitter and Google by sharing the icons on your fundraising page.

PARKING & SHUTTLES

Free Parking is available in the MARTA lots near the 10K and 5K start lines. Plan to arrive 30-45 minutes prior to start time to allow for parking and walking to start.

Free shuttle buses will run from the Buckhead Station Parking Lot to the Chamblee MARTA Station or the Brookhaven MARTA Station.

10K START STAGING

10K runners will be asked to line up according to projected pace per mile. Volunteers will be holding signs designating the location for each pace.

STROLLERS

Strollers are welcome. Please line up according to your projected pace.

PETS

THE SIZZLER COURSE IS NOT DOG FRIENDLY! We love dogs, but they will not be allowed on the course. Well behaved dogs, accustomed to crowds, on non-retractable leashes are welcome to cheer for their people from the sidelines. They are also welcome to join the fun at the post-race festival.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

Runners 8 years of age and older are welcome in the 5K. Runners 10 years of age and older are welcome in the 10K.
