The BC Cancer Foundation is the fundraising partner of BC Cancer. We believe that together, BC CAN breakdown cancer.

Immunotherapy is the concept of stimulating the patient’s immune system to treat cancer.  It is the most promising area in oncology, yielding remarkable successes against several types of cancer.  The clean room constructed in the Victoria Centre’s Deeley lab will grow patient T cells as part of our first-in-human clinical trials program.  This program will offer cancer patients in BC new treatments that help their systems recognize and destroy cancer.  Initial clinical trials will commence April 1, 2018 with a focus on gynaecological cancers with blood cancers to follow shortly after.  Future efforts will be directed against other cancers that are likely to respond to this revolutionary form of treatment. With your help, we are confident that BC CAN change the outcome for each person facing this disease.
