Six years ago we sold out in 4 days our 5K Run/Walk (we gave away Coach Purses). Over the past five years, we were the largest Spring run in Ontario this side of the Mississauga Marathon. Register early to guarantee your place in this Historic event. Windsor's only Half Marathon and 10K on Riverside Drive.
Attention: Men are welcome in the race. Le Chocolat is 94% Women and 6% of the smartest men you will ever meet.
Can You Say Happy Mother's Day Primer?
Join us the weekend before Mother's Day (the Run is on May 6th 2018) for an amazing Half Marathon 21K (13.1miles), 10K and 5k Run/Walk. The event starts at Riverfront Plaza and utilizes the gorgeous Windsor waterfront and Riverside drive for all races. Participants will enjoy firefighters at the water/aid stations (lets plan for some twisted ankles that day) a great finisher's Le Chocolat inspired medal (all races) and of course, lots of Chocolate inspired treats. Stay after the race to enjoy all the shopping and great dining in the Downtown area. This year all participants get one bottle of RunningGirl Wine (red or white) and a Tech Race Shirt (event specific), you must be 19 years of age or older to pick up wine!
The Course
Join us for Windsor’s only Half Marathon that has the beautiful Detroit Skyline as your course backdrop. The Half Marathon goes from the Bridge to Walker Road, utilizing the most scenic shoreline course in North America. The Course limit is 3hrs. The City will reopen the roads at noon, but if you are not done do not worry. You can go onto the sidewalk and we never close our Finish Line until every participant is in. It is what RunningFlat does, we love all our participants and we are all there until every single one of you are back to your loved ones with the Finisher's Medal around your neck.
Absolutely NO RACE DAY RACE KIT PICK UP. You must pick up the days before, at our RaceKit Pick up site at River Front Plaza, 370 Riverside Drive East. This is also where the start and finish line are!
Start Finish
The Start/Finish line is at 370 Riverside Drive East (The big stage on the waterfront, North of Riverside Drive between Ouellette and Goyeau St. The event will start at 9:00am rain or shine. No refunds Unless you bought the optional cancellation insurance in check out. The Chocolate Zone
In 2018 a New Improved, even more, Chocolate in Chocolate Zone. We listened to last years feedback and have made the changes. Pelee Island Winery is the sponsor for the Chocolate Zone located at the end of the Finish Line. We have perfected a process over the past number of years with a gift boxes made for every finisher. Each box contains a variety of Chocolate and goodies for the Chocolate lover in you. This race does not have long lines like the others.
NO REFUNDS, Unless you buy the cancellation insurance in the check out process, Price is in Canadian Dollars your Credit Card company will automatically exchange it for you. Typical exchange (does vary from bank to bank and type of card) as of Nov 1st is $1 Can = $.75 USD or $50 Can will cost you $37.50 USD with bank fees etc...

Race Kit Pick Up/Start/Finish
So Race Kit Pick Up along with Start Line and Finish Line are all at the Riverfront Festival Plaza 370 Riverside Drive East. Riverfront Festival Plaza is the big stage across the street from Caesars Windsor on the waterfront. We will be inside beginning on May 4th at 3:00pm to 8:00pm and again on May 5th from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
There is tons of parking at the stage and it is easy access in and out. Friends can pickup for each other. The person picking up needs a photo ID and no one under the age of 19 can receive the wine swag.

The Swag
The First year we started this race we gave away a Coach Purse, the second and third year it was wine boxes shaped like a purse. Last two years we surprised you with our own wine! With our friends at Pelee Island Winery we launched together a wine brand called Running Girl Wine! It won't be available for mass consumption till 2018 in Ontario but maybe purchased at the Winery later this summer. You get it exclusively from RunningFlat and this year you choose from a bottle of Chardonnay(White Wine) or a bottle of Baco Noir Cabernet (Red Wine). Every registrant gets a bottle in the 5K, 10K and 21K events (must be 19 years of age or older to collect at race kit pick up). That is how we say Happy Mother's Day!

Typical RunningFlat aid station every 2K with Port-a-Johns so you never have to worry just enjoy the run and scenery of running on an iconic course, Riverside Drive overlooking the Detroit River.
Every aid station has water and RunningFlat Fuel (Lemonaid) and a runners aid kit. Start and Finish is all in the River Front Plaza area.
5K Run/Walk - West out of the Plaza to Ouellette Avenue to Riverside Drive west to McEwan down into the Riverfront Trail and east back into the Plaza
10K Run/Walk - West out of the Plaza to Ouellette Avenue to Riverside Drive west to Askin Avenue turn around run east to Walker Road turn around run west to Glengary to the Riverfront Trail and into Finish.
