South Coast Adventure Race 2018

The SCAR: South Coast Adventure Race 2018 is a multi-sport adventure race that takes place in several municipalities in the Windsor-Essex region. This race includes trekking, orienteering, paddling (canoe or kayak) and cycling.

Your mental and physical toughness will be pushed to the brink as you take on this task as an individual or a team of two or three. An adventure race is one of the most exhilarating experiences of a lifetime. Once you try…you’ll be hooked! You may even end up with a few battle scars along the way…

SCAR is also a member of the Canadian Adventure Racing Association (CARA) and the Adventure Racing Ontario Association. SCAR participants are eligible to collect up to 100 points towards the Adventure Racing Ontario series, depending on performance in the race. Details of the points series can be found here.

NOTE: All registrations are final. ERCA will not be able to issue refunds to participants. 

NOTE: All solo participants must provide their own canoe or kayak. Teams who bring their own canoe/kayak are entitled to a $15 discount on their registration fee. Please email dstuebing[at]erca.org for your unique promo code BEFORE registering for the event. Your promo code will be entered by one team member during the registration process.

Please note that we cannot guarantee desired technical t-shirt sizes for registrations received after May 7.

Youth Team - Special Note

YOUTH TEAMS: Please note that at least one parent chaperone, with a cell phone, must be present along the racecourse for the duration of the SCAR event on June 16, 2018. Parents will be provided a map with time frames and destinations on race morning. While parent chaperones will not participate in the race, they must be available by cell phone during the event and present for the duration of the race.

All youth racers and their parents/guardians must sign an additional waiver to participate in SCAR 2018. The waiver can be downloaded here. Signed waivers can be dropped off at the Essex Civic Centre Suite 311, faxed to 519-776-8688 (attention Danielle Stuebing) or emailed to dstuebing@erca.org.
