The 2018 Rompin' Rockwood will open for registration on Feb, 4th at 8am AST
The 2018 Rompin Rockwood Ultra trail race (ABOVE) is held on one 25 km loop, run once or twice depending on your willingness to see it all a second time. The 10k/25k & 50k races will all start at the Kiwanis A frame at the Fisher lakes beach. Check the Hackmatack Trail Racing Website for specific race schedules
We're doing it this way to have all runners finish around the same time and more cheering opportunities.
The courses wiggle their way through most of Rockwoods technical, yet well maintained trails and features a maximum of single track (~90%). course maps are above and below and are available on Hackmatacktrailracing.com. We at HTR also take great pains to mark the course like nobodies business so the racers don't have to think about navigation while working hard and running fast.
I worked hard to make a long continuous loop inside the park on as many trails as possible because, well, This park is fantastic and I wanted to give folks a good idea what it's got inside.
