Our story…
The Sargent family will walk 3.1 miles on May 12 in honor of my dad who passed away April 19, 2017 from pancreatic cancer. Sixty-one days after he was diagnosed.
My dad's name is Leslie Vaughn Sargent. The LVS Putters was created in honor of my dad and his passion for golf.
In 2017, pancreatic cancer became the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. The number of cases is on the rise and if nothing changes, pancreatic cancer will become the second-leading cause of cancer-related deaths by 2020. The five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer remains the lowest of any cancer, at just 8%.
With your support Project Purple can continue sending care packages and financial aid to pancreatic cancer patients and their families, and funding major research facilities in the hope that this funding will bring us closer to a cure.
