Family Fun - Eat & Run 5K and Kids Dash 

Sunday, April 29th in City Park, New Orleans

At pre-race day packet pickup on Thursday, April 26th ( 4 pm - 6 pm) hosted by Phidippides Sports, 6601 Veterans Blvd., Metairie 

and On the Day of race ( Sunday ) at the race site opening at 7:00 am

Benefiting:   * Three regional Children's Museums 

Louisiana Children's Museum - New Orleans,  Bayou Country Children's Museum, Children's Museum of St. Tammany

Time: 

7:00  am - On site packet pickup  & registration opens 

8:30 am 5K Run & Walk start

9:30 am Kids Division Fun Run & Walk start *

* Note that Kids run/walk may include multiple races pending quantity and ages of participants

Entry fees 5K:  

* Age 18 and over division

$30.00 by April 1st , $35.00 by April 24th & at pre- race day Packet Pickup event, $40.00 on the day of race.

Group entry discount ( Save $5.00 each ) groups of 3 or more registered by April 24th   

$35.00 day of race.

* Kids entry fee for 5K:   $10.00 ( age 11-17 ) , FREE ( age 10-under )  thru day of race

* Entry fees Kids Dash Run/Walk    * thru day of race

$10.00 ( age 11-17 ) , Free for age 10-under 

*** Proof of age will be required at packet pickup for Youth age entrants ***

NOTE:   Entrants age 17 -under may participate in the 5K and in the Kids Dash with one entry. Only need to register once.

Pre-Race day packet pickup & late registration:  Thursday, April 26th from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm 

hosted by Phidippides, 6601 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie  

Day of race packet pickup & registration at the race site opens at 7:00 am 

CHIP TIMED EVENT:  * The 5K Run / Walk ONLY is chip timed 

Please wear your  race number bib on front only. Check label on back of race number bib for your name, each number bib is pre-assigned to a specific entrant.

Awards:  5K

1st overall and 1st, 2nd Place in age groups: 10-under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-over.  Race Walker Division - 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall. 

Awards:  Kids Dash Run/Walk - Medallions to all youth age finishers

Toys, gift cards, etc  distributed by random drawing to participants in the kids race.

Post race refreshments:

This event may perhaps have the ultimate in food and beverage of any local run/walk. Just a few of the items from lasts years race included: Pork Chops, Jambalaya, BBQ Shrimp, White Beans & Rice, Red Beans & Rice, Gumbo,  Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Mini Muffalettas, Ham Pistolettes, Roast Beef Pistolettes. For adults we had Beer, Margarita's, Bloody Marys, Hard Lemonade. Snowballs. 

Wrist band for those age 21 and over will be distributed at event info table on the day of race. Must have wristband in order to receive any adult beverage items. No exception

For the Kids we had a DJ for Karoke, Bounce House, Lemonade, Snoballs, lots of toys and prizes and a fantastic puppet show.
