NAMI Rockland is an Affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, one of the largest, grassroots mental health, self-help and advocacy organizations in the country. NAMI members and volunteers consist of individuals living with mental illness, relatives, friends and advocates working together to improve the lives of people affected by mental illness.
NAMI works toward improving services and resources for individuals living with a psychiatric disability and their families through education, advocacy, support and promoting research.
We are a 501(c)3, non-profit organization funded primarily through contributions and membership dues. Because our programs and activities are administered and carried out almost exclusively by dedicated volunteers, funds we receive go directly to our educational and support programs.
