2018 July 4th Firecracker 5K Fun Run
Thank you for registering for the 14th Annual Pleasant Hill Firecracker 5K Run and Walk and Kids 100-Yard Dash. Please read through this email carefully. It has essential information about the event that you need to know – including your bib pick up!
Bib and Shirt Pick-up
Pick up your bibs and shirts on Saturday, June 30th from 10:00am to 2:00pm at Sports Basement,1881 Ygnacio Valley Road, Walnut Creek. Sports Basement will offer a 20% discount on all in-store purchases during bib pickup. Sports Basement will also donate an additional $1 back to the schools for every bib picked up on June 30th.
Bibs and shirts will also be available on race morning, but it is not recommended and those choosing to do this should plan to arrive by 7:00 am to avoid being in line when the race starts!
The USATF certified 5K course starts by the corner of Gregory Lane and Telany Road, in front of City Hall, and ends at 45 Crescent Drive, in front of the Clock Tower. The route winds through the downtown area and follows the same route as the parade. Runners make 3 laps around the course. A registration table will be set up before the race on Crescent Drive and volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions. Race begins promptly at 8:00am so don’t be late to the start line!
Please remember that if you registered AFTER June 25th race t-shirts are not guaranteed although every effort will be made to ensure we have enough on-hand for every 5K participant. Last year we had plenty for everyone.
Parking is available at the multi-story parking lot on Crescent Drive across the street from the Century 16 Theater. Note that the entry/exit to this parking lot on Contra Costa Boulevard will remain open the entire day. The entry/exit on Crescent Drive will be closed from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Participants acknowledge and agree that photos and/or video footage taken during any of the events sponsored by and/or included in the Pleasant Hill Fourth of July celebration may be used without further consent or compensation by the Pleasant Hill Fourth of July Commission for promotional purposes. This includes, but is not limited to websites, Facebook, social networks, articles, and any other promotional or news materials regardless of the format.
You must register ALL people at the same time. Once you have completed your registration use the , "ADD ANOTHER PARTICIPANT" button at the bottom. If you choose to register a 4th, 5th or 6th person each participant will be charged $25.00. You will see the discount on the CHECKOUT page.
