All distances (including kids) start and end in the group campsite where runners check in (here --> https://goo.gl/maps/7ucAAvaWUi52)
Kids 1K Fun Run is fun and just as scenic as the big kids routes! All participants receive a chocolate finishers medal (dark or milk) from generous local candy heros, Harlan’s Chocolates!!
The 3K distance is a great into to trail running and also a great opportunity to get out for a brisk hike with a few friends and explore the parks Oceanside, heritage pasture and deep forest trails.
The 10K course will wind its way around the park, wrapping around its intimate coves, along Merganser Pond and within reach of the waters edge with views of the Southern Gulf Islands and as far south as the San Juan Islands. Finishers end where they began in the Group Camp area with BBQ, refreshments and Raffle draws for prizing donated from incredible local sponsors. This event is fun and as competitive as you make it.
The16K adds another 4K of shoreline single track that connects with 2K of beautiful rolling country road past lush farm fields to Beaver Point Hall where runners tuck back into remote forrest ranging from Garry Oak bluff to Massive fir to the iconic fields of Ruckle Farm finishing at the group campsite for all the same refreshments.
There is a 1K race for the kids before the full race starts with chocolate finishers medals donated by Harlens Chocolates!!! Kids race is free and fun!!
2018 Brings Sannich Elder Earl Claxton back to us with his wonderful son John JB Williams and shares the great honour and joy of teaching cedar weaving as well as his captivating and whimsical story telling. Earl will be preparing a traditional Salmon dinner for those who register as well.
