Race for Possible - Camp Bighorn - Montana

Since 1948 JAARS has been making Bible translation and language development possible—especially in the most remote and difficult places on earth. Much has changed since then, but our mission is fundamentally the same.

More than 600 million people speaking roughly 5,000 languages have little-to-no Scripture in a language they can fully understand—their mother tongue, or heart language.  And when they can’t understand what they read or hear, the life transforming power of the gospel is stopped in its tracks.

You can help do something about that.

The Race for Possible is a fundraising adventure race, held annually in three unique locations. The Race helps bridge the adrenalin rush of adventure sport many individuals crave and the extreme adventure to which Jesus calls his Church—to make disciples of all nations.

By competing in Race for Possible your team helps:

• raise funds to support projects directly related to Bible translation 
• promote the impact of Bible translation
• provide motorbikes to help meet the transportation needs of national translators
• transform lives through providing mother-tongue Scripture and Biblical resources

Where: Camp Bighorn, Plains, MT 59859
This race is hosted by JAARS in partnership with Camp Bighorn located along the Clark Fork River near Plains, Montana. You will raft the whitewater of the Clark Fork River, rappel and climb the amazing rock formations surrounding the camp, be challenged by a high-ropes course, and bike the rugged mountain trails of the area.

The Racers: Compete on a team of four who want to make a difference in eradicating one of our greatest injustices: Bible poverty.  Racers commit to the following:

• Build a team of four to race against time and other teams in demanding physical and linguistic challenges.  If you can't form your own team, don't worry. Sign up and we will find a team for you.
• Pray for endurance to run the race set before us - running the baton of Bible translation to the finish line.  Also, invite others to pray for the Bibleless as the team competes.
• Commit to a fundraising goal of $2000 per team ($500 per racer).  We provide materials to help each member and team meet this goal.  If you don't raise the entire amount you can still compete in the race.  These funds go to support a project directly related to the work of Bible translation.  (See information about the project below).

Registration $198/person = $792/team of 4
(Covers lodging, food, and race elements - Race fees subject to change year to year.)
