A scenic and hilly route along the shore of the Minas Basin which caters to the casual and competitive runner by offering two different 5k routes OR you can combine the two and run a 10k route for the same price! We are also offering a kids run on the beautiful grounds of the Walton Lighthouse. This run is in support of our Hants Shore Community Health Centre and focuses on fun and enjoying the beautiful views the Hants Shore has to offer. Come run with us and enjoy the glorious ocean air and the panoramic view of the Minas Basin and the Walton Lighthouse! Route 1 is a beautiful 5k route along country roads lined with farmers fields, meadows and ocean views. Route 2 is a more challenging and hilly route for those who want to earn their view at the Walton Lighthouse and around Whale Creek Campground and beach. If you're still wanting more, you can combine the two routes for Route 3 and run a 10k! After the run, be sure to come to the Walton Fire Hall for some home made soup and refreshments! Lunch is included in your registration and will also be available for spectators to purchase at the event.

This 5k route is the road less travelled in Walton and offers a phenomenal view of the river bed where eagles nest underneath the rustic one way bridge you will be running over. You will run a couple kilometers through a gravel road with more of Walton's beautiful terrain and finish on a downhill overlooking the Bay of Fundy and our beautiful Lighthouse! Stroller and dog friendly, this route is ideal for walking, strolling or running!

This 5k route is not for the faint of heart! Uphill both ways will mean you will be challenged but the view is worth every step! You will begin at the historic Walton Lighthouse and head downhill to Highway 215, where you will then head straight over the hill and onto Whale Creek Campground. The course will take you through the roads of the campground and along the beach where you will turn and head back to the Lighthouse. Make sure you take a moment at the top of the Walton hill to savour the stunning view from the top!

This 10k route is a combination of both of the 5k routes. The route will be challenging, with hills galore and the benefit of feasting your eyes on every vantage point this run has to offer, from the one-way bridge over the river to the stunning views of the Minas Basin from the Lighthouse!
